Reading workshops and educational outings, funded by the Ökumenewerk der Nordkirche.
We have run two significant projects for children of migrant background.
The first consisted of readings from books addressing central themes: racism, self-esteem, integration, cultural diversity and acceptance of others. These readings raised awareness among the children present while offering them illuminating books.
The second project, also aimed at children of migrant background aged 5 to 12, took the form of two educational outings: one to a museum of natural science and biology, the other to a play centre. These activities gave the children a valuable chance to discover new settings and to flourish, while strengthening their sense of belonging to society.
